The Swimmer
My film The Swimmer will be included in more festivals. In Portland on Friday- 11/11/11, opening night for Northwest Film & Video Festival, and Paris, December 8th & 10th, part of Festival des Cinémas Différents et Expérimentaux de Paris. The Swimmer is my four minute reinterpretation of the 1968 film starring Burt Landcaster, based on the short story by John Cheever.
Where can I see this film? Is it online? I'm in London, England

Hello Poolside Percy,
ReplyDeleteI looked at your blog and understand your interest in my film. Are you in training for the Olympics? If so I wish you much success!!! If you haven't seen the 1968 film or read the short story this film is based on I highly recommend it... minus the psychological baggage you seem to be a kindred spirit. The closest means for you to see this film is through Collectif Jeune Cinema in Paris. They distribute it for me. Here's a link to my films on their site- http://www.cjcinema.org/pages/fiche_auteur.php?auteur=464

Cool, thanks Salise. Greetings from London England.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if it's being shown in the UK.

DeleteHi Percy,
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Seattle, USA. This might not be much help but it's screening again in France this week. On the 11th & 13th in Marseille at Festival Images Contre Nature. It's best to see it projected in a cinema, but I did just put it online-

Nice, thanks for sharing. Lovely colours. Any reason you didn't use a soundtrack? Would love to see it on a big screen one day.
ReplyDeleteI first saw the 1968 when I was a lad, it made a big impression on me.
Yes, Kindred spirits, keep up the good work.

Thanks Percy,
DeleteThere is a faint soundtrack of projector noise, including the film flapping of the finished reel. I guess that needs to be pointed out, because we are so used to that noise.
